In the Snapshot series, I’ll give you a quick snapshot of some of my adventures on the road. Sometimes I’ll be there for a quick trip and other times I’ll be there a bit longer. Whatever the duration or location I promise it will be fun!
Sometimes we all need a break! Sometimes we all need the moment to be all about us! And sometimes we just need a mental health moment to focus on all of the above plus some! These moments help us refocus, refresh, and redirect our energy toward our best self. Recently, when I needed all of the above because I felt like life was spinning out of control, I knew exactly what I needed to do. I needed to see my first love!
And with a simple click of my mouse I had booked my ticket and was on the way to my love…hey Venice, California, I LOVE YOU.
Yes, Venice is truly my first love. The energy of the people and the beauty of the landscape sucked me in when I was a young girl and I’ve never looked back. So on this trip I knew it was going to be a weekend of beach fun, great food, and plenty of sunshine! All of which are needed for a perfect mental health weekend in a beach community. Since this trip was going to be very short and it was also purpose driven, sticking to my plan and being focused was going to be required. So on the plane I narrowed my selections down to a few keys things that I wanted to do with keeping in mind the majority of the my time needed to have me chillin’ on the beach with or without a cocktail in my hand. Below are a few places that you must check out when visiting Venice:
The Hat Maker
Nick Fouquet is the hat maker here, and HUNNA the boy has skillz. These custom made gems are each one of a kind. Can you say hat PORN!!!
I FINALLY made it to a soul cycle class, and it was all that and 10 bags of chips. The indoor cycling class was not only the best spin class I’ve ever taken, but it was led by the amazing motivational coach, Angela Davis.
This Venice hot spot is serving up New American fare. The food is pretty stellar and the cocktails left me wanting more. And did I mention they get double thumbs up for the rustic-chic decor?
