On Saturday August 10th, ChairFund will host the movie premiere of When One Door Closes, at Stereo Live located at 6400 Richmond Ave. The film, directed by Robert Peters, will take audience members on a journey of love, struggle, and triumph. Nollywood (Nigerian Hollywood) Star Van Vicker is said to give a performance that “critics and fans will agree is one of his best yet”.
At 5:00 p.m., the night kicks off with a social hour with drinks, networking, and photography. The lights will go dim soon after 6:00 p.m. to begin the show. Afterwards, guests are encouraged to stick around for a question and answer session with the film’s leading actors. Guests who purchase tickets at the $20 level and up will enjoy free admission to the official after-party hosted at Venue, located at 719 Main St.
Every ChairFund event has a philanthropic component. A portion of the event proceeds will support the great work that Houston-based Mia’s Closet does for the city’s underprivileged youth. ChairFund Co-Founder and CEO Ahrif Sarumi serves as an advisory board member and active participant of Mia’s Closet, which recently celebrated two years of providing clothing and free activities for kids.
