There are no shortage of entertainment options in Houston, but one particular alternative is gathering quite the buzz around the city. That option would be the new TopGolf Houston North that is located in Spring.

It is no secret that getting a “bay” at the Katy location is no small feat, however, long wait times did not steer us away from our new obsession. And if you were lucky enough to grab one of those VIP Priority Passes, you were added to the top of the list and your wait was significantly less. Others on the first come, first serve list just sipped on cocktails and knocked back a few beers to pass the time. Even those like myself who have never stepped foot on a golf green, were making their way to this entertainment mecca.

I’ve been to both locations and it’s really hard to choose a favorite. Both offer good food, good drinks, and most importantly good fun. TopGolf is definitely bringing the comforts of home to golfing to create a well rounded experience. They really haven’t missed a thing. In addition, live DJ’s are spinning every week starting on “Throwback Thursdays” and into the weekend with “Patio-Palooza Fridays” and “Top-Spin Saturdays”. Pair this with food and drink specials and you won’t realize you’ve spent your entire day or night there. For just $20 for six players before noon and $40 after noon, the price is reasonable as well. They even have an app where you can access leaderboards, your personal game history, purchase a VIP priority pass, and view their full menu.

Tip: TopGolf is also a great place for events. Book one of their live cooking stations and have a chef whip up some fancy grub for you and your guests. Their shrimp and grits and kale salad drizzled with warm maple bacon will raise a few eyebrows.
