Houston it’s time for the 3rd Annual Screwed Up Sunday. This event pays homage to DJ Screw, the creator of the art and sound of “chopped and screwed”! There will be music, 8th Wonder beer, and a limited edition DJ Screw pint glass with the purchase of a ticket. Tickets are $25 presale and $30 the day of the event.
The Great Banh Mi Cookoff is back for its fourth year and some of Houston’s top chefs are bringing their banh mi A-game! Watch as top culinary talents go head to head (Flip N Patties, Peli Peli, and Kiran’s, just to name a few), pick your fave, and enter your vote for People’s Choice. Tickets are $30 and include food samples from all chefs.
Karbach Brewing Co. kicks off their 4-week Karbachtoberfest on September 15th and on September 16th will feature performances by Bun B with opener Trae Tha Truth! Karbachtoberfest will bring four weekends of festivities, a German inspired menu, beer, live performances and much more. This event is free to attend. Karbachtoberfest festivities begin at noon and the music starts at 6pm.
Tacos and music are huge around these parts, so putting them together to create The Texas Taco Music Fest is the right thing to do. This event is a unique celebration of food, music, and fun. There will be over 80 demonstrations and craft vendors, live music, a taco throwdown, special kid’s area and much more. Tickets start at $10 per person.
Head downtown for a celebration of all things beer blended with live music, tasty eats, and art. Guests will enjoy brews from over 75 local and national craft breweries while Shakey Graves performs and dishes out the jams. This is a family friendly event and pets are welcome. Tickets start at $25, and VIP options are available.
