Each week, we will bring you five swanky (and hand-picked) events that are sure to keep your social life in check. From art shows to culinary festivals, speakeasies, concerts, live performances, and pop-up shops, there is always something to do and to get into in H-town! Check out the fun things to do in Houston this week:

Cinco de Mayo Weekend at El Big Bad (Friday-Sunday, May 5th-7th)

Celebrate Cinco de Mayo weekend downtown at El Big Bad! The weekend will feature live DJ’s, -320-degree liquid nitrogen margaritas, over 70 different infused tequilas, tequila sampling, face-painting, giveaways, special events like the Cinco De Brunch and more! Tickets are $10 to $15.

Black Swan Sundays at Raven Tower (Sunday, May 7th)

Sunday yoga at Raven Tower is back by popular demand! Every first Sunday of the month Black Swan Yoga will offer free yoga at the tower. All you need to bring is yourself, water, mat, and some fun.

Spring Concert Series at Market Street (Thursday, May 11th)

Market Street’s 8-week spring concert series returns to entertain the crowds with various musical genres from country, rock, to jazz. Each Thursday, a different band will perform including Already Gone, Junior Gordon, Zach Person, Rat Ranchbeginning, and the David Caceres Quintet. This event is free to attend.

DASH Spring Market at Silver Street Studios (Thursday-Sunday, May 11th-14th)

Get ready for a weekend shopping extravaganza complete with live music, enlightening speakers, vendors, brunch, and much more! This event is just in time for Mother’s Day and will offer plenty of vendors to score cool home decor gifts for mom. In addition to shopping, the weekend will include a kick-off party, and a designer’s sneak peek. Tickets are $10.

Texas Crab Festival at Crystal Beach (Friday-Sunday, May 12th-14th)

Celebrating its 32nd year, the Texas Crab Festival has geared up to bring another fun-filled weekend of food, dancing, live music, and family fun! There will be all types of delicious seafood served at this event, but crab is king here and don’t forget it. Save room in your belly for the Crab Gumbo Cookoff which is always a crowd favorite.
