Each week, we will bring you five swanky (and hand-picked) events that are sure to keep your social life in check. From art shows to culinary festivals, speakeasies, concerts, live performances, and pop-up shops, there is always something to do and to get into in H-town! Check out the fun things to do in Houston this week:

Body by Broadway (Tuesday, June 27th)

Join instructors from DEFINE body & mind to get your workout on as you burn away calories while singing along and listening to Broadway tunes! Enjoy a free hour-long class then head to the many wellness vendors for a little shopping! This is a monthly series taking place on the last Tuesday of each month through November.

Float & Flick at Hotel Derek (Friday, June 30th)

Head to the Splash Pool, equipped with a three-story movie wall, to enjoy this week’s movie, Footloose! The evening will feature fruity cocktails, local craft beers, and light bites from Revolve Kitchen + Bar’s summer menu. Tickets are $20 and include gourmet popcorn, one drink ticket, self-parking, and access to SPLASH pool.

The Holiday Hip Hop Brunch (Saturday, July 1st)

You’ve never been to a brunch quite like this! The Hip Hop Brunch is kicking off its 5-city tour right here in Houston. In addition to some delicious food, guests will jam to the top hip-hop hits from the 80’s, 90’s and present, sip on cocktails, and get an opportunity to jump on stage for some karaoke fun at this afternoon dance party. Brunch is not included in the ticket price and seating is first come first served.

Local Brews, Local Grooves Festival (Saturday, July 1st)

For $15, beer lovers and enthusiasts can enjoy an afternoon of local craft brews and local grooves at this annual craft beer and music festival. This 7-hour fest will feature over 20 breweries, over 50 beers (including some rare releases), 13 local bands, food pairings, and more!

First Saturday Arts Market (Saturday, July 1st)

This Saturday Arts Market occurs once a month in The Heights. You will find artists showcasing fine art, handcrafted items, jewelry, photography, and much more. They will also have live music and delicious fare from some of the best food trucks in the city. This event is free to the public.
