Never again will you have to utter the words, “there is nothing going on in Houston”! Each week, we will bring you five swanky (and hand-picked) events that are sure to keep your social life in check. From art shows to culinary festivals, speakeasies, concerts, live performances, and pop-up shops, there is always something to do and to get into in H-town! Check out the fun things to do in Houston this week:
There is always time to learn something new and have fun while doing it. TX/RX Labs offers classes and workshops each week ranging from Art & Crafts to Leatherworks. On June 18th join them for a class in screen printing where you will learn the basics of screenprinting on paper.
Tongue Cut Sparrow is not only about fantastic cocktails; now they are giving us a series of “bird-motivated” special events that will change the theme of the bar. First up…Flamingos! So the entire bar (cocktails, attire, decor, etc.) will be transformed into a modern tiki bar.
Some of the top Texas pit masters and chefs will meet in Houston for the highly anticipated (and first inaugural) BBQ MeatUp hosted by Texas Monthly. Guests will grub on mouth-watering meat-inspired dishes as they sip on cold brews and craft cocktails. There will also be live music from the Gibson Stage featuring Mike Ethan Messick and John Evans.
Grab a few friends that can appreciate a good beer or two alongside an enlightening session of yoga! Okay maybe the beer comes after, but we will not tell if you don’t! There will be a live DJ along with special surprises and giveaways.
WhistlePig and Saint Arnold Brewing Co. join forces with Eight Row Flint to bring you the inaugural Whiskey+Beer+Tacos! Learn about all things Rye with WhistlePig, Saint Arnold Brewing Co. will pair the whiskey with a few of their brews, and Eight Row will provide the tacos! Tickets are $50.
Enjoy and whatever you choose make sure to get your SWANK on!
