Never again will you have to utter the words, “there is nothing going on in Houston”! Each week, we will bring you five swanky (and hand-picked) events that are sure to keep your social life in check. From art shows to culinary festivals, speakeasies, concerts, live performances, and pop-up shops, there is always something to do and to get into in H-town! Check out the fun things to do in Houston this week:

Kick-up Your Summer Workout (Through August 20th)

Time to kick-up that summer workout up by adding some yoga and indoor cycling in the mix at Revolution Studio. They not only have some of the best instructors in the city, but their classes are the real deal and leave you feeling energized and ready for round two! The are currently offering both cycling and yoga free for two weeks!

Houston Restaurant Weeks (August 1st-September 4th)

Houston Restaurant Weeks, a month-long campaign in support of the Houston Food Bank, is back! Whether you are planning to check out a new restaurant or visit a tried and true, this is the perfect time to enjoy lunch, brunch, or dinner for a great cause. For $20-45, guests can sample multiple course meals at some of Houston’s top eateries. You do not want to miss this!

Indian Summer Pop Up (Friday, August 4th)

We love a good pop up dinner, especially when it’s hosted by one of Houston’s top spots for Indian cuisine, Pondicheri! This interactive feast will feature creative renditions of some the best street foods from India. Each dinner is limited to 16 people and cost $135 per person, inclusive of food, wine, gratuity and tax.

White Linen Night in The Heights (Saturday, August 5th)

White Linen Night in the Heights is a neighborhood event that is not to be missed! Deck out in your swanky summer white gear for an evening of shopping with local shops and vendors, eating great food, and partying until late into the evening. Christian’s Tailgate will have live music and drink specials all night long as well.

Beyond The Pines Music Festival (Saturday, August 5th)

Head to Sam Houston Race Park for a two-stage independent music festival featuring Grammy and Golden Globe winner Ryan Bingham along with Cody Chesnutt, Bad New Band, Polaroid Summer, and more! In addition to dancing and enjoying the summer sounds, the festival will also have over 15 local food trucks, craft beverages, vendors, and community partners. Tickets are $38 in advance, $55 at the door, and $150 for VIP.

Enjoy and whatever you choose make sure to get your SWANK on!
