Each week, we will bring you five swanky (and hand-picked) events that are sure to keep your social life in check. From art shows to culinary festivals, speakeasies, concerts, live performances, and pop-up shops, there is always something to do and to get into in H-town! Check out the fun things to do in Houston this week:

Open Mic Night (Tuesday, July 18th)

Whether you choose to “rock the mic” or enjoy the performances, open mic night at the House of Blues will give you a reason to head to happy hour on Tuesday. Held on the first and third Tuesday of each month, the evening also includes an extended happy hour until close. Admission is free and performance sign-up begins at 6pm.

Summer Social at The Manor (Thursday, July 20th)

The Manor House at The Houstonian will serve as the backdrop to one epic culinary event. Dress up in seersuckers and sundresses and enjoy a evening of great food, wine, decadent desserts, live entertainment by the April Spain Trio, and a fashionable game of croquette on the back lawn. Tickets are $75 per person.

CultureMap Country Club Party (Thursday, July 20th)

If you are anything like us you love a themed party, and CultureMap is going to throw a pretty fun one! Make your way to CultureMap’s Country Club shindig at Skyhouse River Oaks. The party will be outfitted with all the modern luxuries of a country club, including good-looking men and woman. There will bites and libations flowing all night, along with a little shopping, recreational activities, and relaxation. Tickets for this event are $25.

Fajita Festival (Saturday, July 22th)

You know food has it going on when there is an entire festival named after it! However, The Houston Fajita Festival is not just about the beloved fajitas, but it will be a celebration of Mexican culture, other food, drinks, and entertainment. Since the star of the day is fajitas expect to have a day filled with all kinds, from seafood to beef. Individual tickets start at $10.

Respect the Rosé (Sunday, July 23th)

Celebrate summertime at Underbelly at the 3rd Annual Respect the Rosé, a special multi-course dinner featuring delicious Southern cuisine and plenty of delicious rosé. Dress in your country club finest and join two-time James Beard Award-winning chef Ryan Prewitt, along with Chef Michael Hudman, Chef Andy Ticer, and Chef Stephen Stryjewski as these friends cook you a meal, Caddyshack style. Tickets are $150 per person.
