The City of Baytown Parks and Recreation Department is preparing for almost 75 tons of snow at Baytown’s Town Square on January 13th! The 3rd annual Snow Day will be a FREE event open to all children and feature two large eight foot snow slides, one extra large 12 foot snow slide complete with snow discs and toboggans, 4 lane bunny hill for smaller children, two large general play areas, and special guest visitors for children to take pictures with!
Featuring the who’s who in the Houston food and beverage industry, The “I’ll Have What She’s Having Benefit Dinner” will showcase an all-female cast of veteran chefs, up-and-coming culinarians and top industry professionals. Head to Paulie’s Restaurant for a unprecedented 3-course brunch experience with Patricia Burdette, Jody Stevens, Monica Pope, Kris Sowell, and Laurie Harvey. All profits will be used to fund education programs at Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast.
Learning something new is always a good way to start the New Year! Sparrow and The Nest offer small group workshops run by experienced instructors and artists. There are many different workshops offered and each is roughly three hours. Attendees get a snack and beverage along with their completed work!
The 17th Annual MLK Battle Of The Bands Competition is an event that many Houstonians mark on their calendars well in advance. This is one of the largest high school band competitions in the U.S. and you don’t want to miss out on this spectacular showcase of talent.
