YAGA Chili Quest & Beer Fest (January 19th-20th)

Not to fear, the YAGA Chili Quest & Beer Fest is back! For the past eight years, Yaga’s has brought a diverse crowd of chili and beer lovers from all over the nation to Galveston, TX. Get ready for live music, a 5K Fun Run/Walk, a washer pitching tournament, a jackpot margarita contest, vendors and a historical strand merchant walk-about. And if that doesn’t fulfill all of your festival needs, returning this year is the expanded Beer Festival.

BarkHappy Houston New Year Pawty (Saturday, January 20th)

Kick off your New Year at BarkHappy’s New Year Pawty Celebration at Under The Radar Brewery. The event welcomes dogs and their owners to hit the outdoor patio for some relaxing, freebies, and games. They are also offering free professional photography shots, a FREE day of lodging or doggy daycare at Rover Oaks, FREE doggy treat goody bags from Farmers Insurance, and much more. And it’s all for a great cause!

Sawyer Flea (Saturday, January 20th)

No one will judge you if you head to Sawyer Flea and shop til you drop! This free curated outdoor market will once again feature original art, jewelry, soaps, artisan goods, artisan foods, and many other cool things. Think handmade leather accessories, fair trade, vintage, home decor, candles, soaps and more!  This event is free to the public.

Bayou City Burlesque & Circus Arts Festival (Saturday. January 20th)

The Bayou City Burlesque & Circus Arts Festival is a yearly extravaganza not to be missed! This Houston burlesque, circus, and sideshow festival brings together timeless and titillating performance arts that will defy gravity and sweep you off your feet. After you’ve enjoyed the show and learned some new skills  you can look forward to indulging yourself in their Bayou Bazaar.

Ice at Discovery Green (Through, January 21st)

Time is winding down for you to ice skate outdoors in Downtown Houston! Ice skating in the park in Houston is really a thing. Ice at Discovery Green is back so let’s grab the family or a couple of friends and lace-up. The ICE at Discovery Green has a 7,716 square-foot ice skating surface, making it the largest outdoor skating rink in the Southwest. Tickets start at $14.
