Sleeping Beauty & Her Winter Knight (Through Dec 24th)
Take the entire family to the theatre this holiday season. Sleeping Beauty and Her Winter Knight is headlining at TUTS through Christmas Eve. This classic tale will be performed by Broadway and TV stars in an interactive style while adding elements of magic and comedy!
Do you love Holiday movies? Well so do the folks at The Dunlavy! So much so that they are having a movie happy hour on December 21st from 2 pm – 8 pm (movie begins at 6 pm). Grab your best or worst holiday sweater and make your way to the fun. They will be serving up spiked Eggnog, Apple Cider, and more holiday specials during the evening!
Every 3rd Thursday, the 19th Street shops roll out the red carpet so you all can sip, shop, and enjoy the evening! For the December edition, there’s a twist since we are in the holiday season! It’s Sip & Celebrate. This event will give you a few extra hours to get your shopping done at your favorite 19th street boutiques. Enjoy complimentary cocktails as you sip, stroll, and shop 19th Street that will be filled with decorations and joy of the season.
The Newport Folk festival presents a concert with The Suffers at House of Blues. Tickets start at $45, and there will be a silent auction prior to the show. All proceeds from the auction and the show will go to The Greater Houston Community Foundation for the victims of Hurricane Harvey.
A skilled team of master ice carvers will take you on a journey through the rainforests to see monkeys, birds, butterflies, orchids and other amazing creatures. A giant ice slide will take you from the tree tops through to the forest floor, then through the ancient ruins and rivers edge to get you in the holiday spirit.
