Check out the fun things to do in Houston this week:

Day for Night (Friday-Sunday, December 15th-17th)

Day for Night is a highly anticipated display of popular music as well as a showcase for up and coming performers who continue to push the envelope. Instead of focusing on certain musical genres, Day for Night focuses instead on acts that specialize in an inventive and highly visual approach to performing. Tickets for one-day passes begin at $105 and $205 for two-day passes.

Campfire Christmas (Saturday, December 16th)

Have you ever wondered how they did Christmas in the 1800’s? Well, George Ranch is giving us a look back as they take us on a trip through Christmases from the 1830’s-1930’s. Start your evening with a merry greeting at the Visitor’s Center with hot chocolate and coffee, then enjoy a holiday meal featuring the best and most scrumptious recipes from Christmas pasts. After dinner and some dancing, jump on the tram that will take you back to Christmas Eve’s pasts.

Little Woodrow’s Annual Chili Cook-Off (Saturday, December 16th)

Winter is coming!!! That means its time to fire up those cookers and whip out the family chili recipe. What better way to do it than with some cold beer, football games, and a chance to be crowned the top chili head in town? Little Woodrow’s Annual Chili Cook-Off will be a fun event with tons of tasty chili, and of course, a little heated competition!

Gingerbread House Decorating Party (Saturday, December 16th)

SpindleTap Brewery will host a Gingerbread House Decorating Party where they will provide all the materials as well as craft beer, gourmet pizza, and pictures with Santa (with a donation)! You must pre-order a gingerbread kit for $20 before attending this event.

A Christmas Story at Karbach (Saturday, December 9th)

Make your way to Karbach for beer and a movie! And since it’s the holidays they had to make sure the movie could stand up to their amazing beer and A Christmas Story just happens to be one of the greatest holiday films of all time! Alamo Drafthouse is bringing out the big inflatable Rolling Roadshow. Don’t forget, these events are BYOC (Bring Your Own Chair) and family friendly!
