Learn how to BBQ like the best of them at the BrisketU Backyard Pitmaster Class! Top area BBQ pitmasters will teach you everything there is to know about brisket from choosing the right one, trimming, prepping, smoking, and serving.
Whether you choose to “rock the mic” or enjoy the performances, open mic night at the House of Blues will give you a reason to head to happy hour on Tuesday. Held on the first and third Tuesday of each month, the evening also includes an extended happy hour until close. Admission is free and performance sign-up begins at 6pm.
Spending a fun evening creating an original piece of art is waiting for you! The Houston Museum-African American culture is hosting a summer paint party. Tickets are $20 per person and include wine (must be 21 and up for wine) and all your art materials for the evening.
It’s time for the 9th Annual “A Night In Havana”! So get your Fedora’s ready and your party face on. There will be plenty of cigars, margaritas, and great music to go around. The admission is $20 per person.
Who doesn’t love fried chicken??? This southern specialty is getting a Houston fest to call its own when the Southern Fried Chicken Festival comes to town! Houston’s most talented chefs, best restaurants, and food trucks will offer samples of their creative fried masterpieces and battle it out to be called the best. There will also be live music, a chicken wing eating contest, a hot sauce competition, and more. Tickets start at $10 and VIP options are available.
