One of the most amazing sights is upon us and you’ll get to experience at Levy Park! The solar eclipse, the time when the moon passes directly between the earth and the sun, will occur on August 21st. The Lunar and Planetary Institute (LPI), in partnership with Levy Park, will provide (safe) solar viewing glasses for Houstonians. This event is free to attend.

Come solo or grab three of your buddies and head to Buffalo Bayou for a scavenger hunt that’s perfect for the social media savvy! As you explore the trails, landmarks, and other sights around the park, you will be given clues to solve. The first to post the correct pictures to their Instagram account wins! Admission is $10 a team for members and $20 for a team for nonmembers.

The 6th Annual Wine and Food Festival is here! Head out and enjoy some of the best red and white wines that Texas wineries have to offer. There will also be music, food, shopping and much more. Tickets start at $30 per person!

If you love jazz, then you’ll definitely want to get in on the fun at the Martini Blue Jazz Cafe. They’ll be hosting a two-day outdoor jazz fest featuring talents including Alex Bugnon, Kim Waters, and Marion Meadows. Tickets start at $50.
