A new lounge experience has made its way to Houston. Bar Bleu is now open at 2506 Robinhood St. near Rice Village.
With room for up to 500 guests, the 6,500-square-foot boutique nightclub and event venue is a sophisticated, stylish hangout with a commitment to great drinks, great food and great service. Bar Bleu is open Thursday to Saturday from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m., with Happy Hour and food service coming soon.
The bar’s entrance faces Kelvin Drive at Robinhood Street, with an expansive parking lot and front patio with seating for 40. Bar Bleu’s front doors lead through a dramatic custom-built loggia into a central room featuring a custom-built mirrored DJ booth and 12×20’ LED lighted dance floor. Two separate rooms to either side feature full-service bars, private VIP areas for 10-75 guests and more than 20 tables with bottle service. The bar also features 1,250 square feet of patio space, making it an ideal venue for groups and private parties. Signature drinks on the menu include the Bleu Mojito and Glorita, a blue margarita.
Bar Bleu is the result a $1 million construction project designed by the bar’s owners, Adam Kliebert and Kellie Letsos, who have extensive design experience in homebuilding and fashion, respectively. The bar is accented throughout by vivid blue colors – from polished lacquered walls to plush sofas and fabrics and warm incandescent lighting.
Bar Bleu is adjacent to a 12,000-square-foot property on Kelvin Drive that is currently under construction. Kliebert has plans to turn the space into an upscale sports bar concept that can hold up to 1,500 people, to open later this year.
