Right next door to one of our tried and true restaurants, Canopy, is another new “destination” that will cater to customers from day to night. Woodbar (although the name may appear to limit its offering to evening patrons) aims to be many things to many people.

If you stop by in the morning you can have your choice of house made pastries and a plethora of coffee options. At lunch time, Woodbar transitions into a lunch spot offering several quick bites and finger foods. And as the day progresses the full service bar comes to life and so do their speciality cocktails.

When I visited some time ago, Claire Smith, the owner of Woodbar, was still decorating the space. I am excited to return just to see how the bar/cafe will be able to envoke that feeling of outside…indoors.

Here is a quick look at a few of the cocktails and dishes offered at Woodbar:

Pineapple Smash made with Rye Whiskey, Fresh Pineapple, Basil

Eggplant and Onion Rings, Harissa Tomato and Creamy Feta Sauces

Kale Collins made with Hendrick’s Gin, Kale Juice, Lovage Tincture, Fresh Cucumber, Soda

Mini Lobster Rolls, Napa Cabbage, Cucumber and Carrot Slaw

Black Bee’s made with Jamaican Rum, Fernet Branca, Local Honey

Woodbar is definitely a place where you can unwind from morning…to night!
