Petite Sweets is one of my favorite places to get frozen custard in the city. I will usually stop in and get them to crush one of their delicious chocolate chip cookies and mix it in a cup with their swirled frozen custard. Well, last month they upped their frozen custard game by introducing 7 different frozen custard waffle cone sundaes. All I could do was scream, “YOU SCREAM, I SCREAM, WE ALL SCREAM FOR ICE CREAM (in this case I was screaming for frozen custard)!!! I mean that was a huge gift to give our city during the dog days of summer.

I was so excited when they invited me in to try them out, yes I said “them” because ya girl got to taste all 7 flavors. I love the fact that you can customize your cone sundae, which I will be doing on my next visit (don’t be surprised if you see my creation on the menu); or you can go with the ones they’ve created on the menu. Here are your choices…

Chocolate Covered Pretzel (Crushed Pretzels, Chocolate Fudge, Whipped Cream) – Sweet and salty with a bit of crunch.

Big Island (Pineapple Puree, Crushed Graham Crackers, Toast Coconut, Whipped Cream) – Enjoy a taste of the islands Mon (in my Jamaican voice).

Lemon Ice Box (Lemon Curd, Crushed Graham Crackers, Whipped Cream) – Fluffy and light, with a lemon punch.

The Turtle (Chopped Pecans, Caramel, Chocolate Fudge, Whipped Cream) – Did you see the ingredients?!?! Enough said.

The Funfetti (Iced Crushed Sugar Cookie, Funfetti Sprinkles, Whipped Cream) – The sugar cookie makes this one special.

Makers Chocolate Covered Cherries (Cherry Bourbon Sauce, Chocolate Dipped Cone, Whipped Cream) – This reminds me of cherry pie.

Balsamic Strawberry (Strawberry Balsamic Sauce, Chocolate Dipped Cone) –Think chocolate covered strawberries.

All of them were quite pleasing to my palate; however I really enjoyed the Lemon Ice Box and The Funfetti cones. If I have to pick an all-around favorite, then my TOP CONE AWARD goes to…

The Turtle wins by an extra dollop of whip cream and a few pecan sprinkles.
