There’s a new sheriff H-E-B in town and unlike it’s predecessors, it comes equipped with a live music stage, an in-store restaurant (Table 57), a kid’s play area, and much much more. From a comparison standpoint, this H-E-B reminded us of a traditional Central Market, which offers more than the typical H-E-B and in our opinion really sets the grocery store bar kinda high. Well, if you love Central Market, you’ll fall head over heels for this new H-E-B location on San Felipe and Fountainview! Following their slogan of “Here Everything’s Better”, this 91,000 square-foot giant has just about covered every facet of the grocery store experience. From gourmet selections, to a wine tasting bar/wine cellar where you can choose from over 1600 wines, to entire aisles dedicated to gluten-free products, and a meat market where you can purchase 21-day or custom dry-aged beef; your shopping experience has officially been upgraded. In the words of Emeril Lagasse…BAM!

Their restaurant, Table 57, is the first one of its kind in Houston. Named after its zipcode, Table 57 is a casual “counter service style” eatery with options to dine in or take your meal to go. Serving H-E-B best fare with a menu inspired by Chef Randy Evans, you’ll find daily selections that include many dishes to suit your fancy. Go for a soup, salad, or a sandwich for lunch or a three meat barbecue plate for dinner (did we mention that the meat is smoked on-site for 13 hours?); they even offer desserts and kids meals. Brunch is served on Sundays until 2 p.m. and with inventive items like Korean Fried Chicken and Waffles, Jarred Eggs with Potato Puree (served with black truffle butter and grilled bread), and Cinnamon Rolls with Bacon Banana’s Foster, you sure don’t want to miss any of that!

Table 57 will be open seven days a week for dining from 11:00 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday thru Thursday; 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday; and 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Sunday.
