I feel so bad that I haven’t shared my thoughts on Dish Society with you guys before now. However, I wanted to make sure that my tastebuds had not deceived me and the Shrimp & Grits were really that good! But before I get to the really good part let me give you a little background information…

The restaurant design is what I would call modern-contemporary with its clean lines and pops of bright yellow strategically placed throughout the space.

Dish Society is a fast casual restaurant concept serving approachable farm-to-table cuisine. What makes it approachable – the affordable prices and the fun casual atmosphere. For the most part, a majority of their food is sourced locally from places like Atkinson Farms, Sustainable Harvesters, Black Hill Ranch, Ole Dad Farms, and Slow Dough Bread Company. Since they opened the doors last spring I’ve visited several times, and have gotten the same thing each time – Shrimp & Grits (Gulf Shrimp sautéed in Tabasco Shallot Butter with Smoked Gouda Bacon Grits). After having it on several different occasions it was just as good time after time, which meant it was now okay and worthy of me sharing with you all. A few new favorites from the recently launched winter menu are:

  • Roasted Beet Salad – Arugula, Winter Greens, Red and Golden Texas Beets,Texas Goat Cheese, Balsamic Vinaigrette
  • Brisket Stuffed Sweet Potato – Baked Sweet Potato, Grass Fed Brisket, Green Onions, Cheddar, & House BBQ Sauce with Cabbage Slaw

The soups are very tasty too – Red Curry Chili is my favorite! Dish society offers continuous service seven days a week. They have Breakfast, Lunch, Social Hour (aka happy hour), Dinner, and Sunday Brunch.

Now that I finally let the cat out the bag about Dish Society all that’s left is for you all to GET SOME!!!
