Last month we finally made our way to the new fine dining establishment that gets its name from the abbreviation for Barcelona. BCN Taste & Tradition is a modern contemporary Spanish fine-dining restaurant housed in a 1920’s house in the heart of Montrose, which provides the perfect modern and classic setting. Once you step foot inside the doors of this 54-seat restaurant your mind immediately takes you to another world! In this new world, fine dining and good taste are best friends. The simple and elegant atmosphere makes you feel as if you are somewhere in Spain, minus the jet-lag.

One of the things that makes BCN extra special is the attention to the details, which all work together to create an authentic Spanish dining experience. Chef Luis Roger’s, who just recently moved from Spain to Houston (he moved to Houston to pursue his dream and open this restaurant), menu is full of delicious goodness from his birthplace and where he got his culinary training. Additionally it was created specifically for Houston and boasts an array of the chef’s best dishes. A few of the stand out dishes were:

 Beef Tartar with Waffle Chips

Branzino, Pistachios and Almonds Gratin with Butter Spinach and Turnip Sauce

Lobster Bouillabaisse with Rice

We also made sure to have one of their very tasty Gin and Tonics, which are considered to be a signature drink of Spain.

If you are looking for fine-dining that is not just your regular good food, then give BCN a try.
