The future of alcohol delivery is here…

TopShelf launched the alcohol delivery service during SXSW in Austin, Texas and has now expanded to Houston. The free app seamlessly connects users with local liquor stores that offer delivery.

This TABC approved service can be used for corporate events, tailgates, weddings, parties, the casual nightcap, or whatever the occasion may be. There is a $20 minimum with a $5 delivery fee and you can expect your favorite beer, wine, or liquor at your door in under 45 minutes. Notable features include: geolocation, social media login/sharing, credit card scanning, Apple Pay, driver tracking, eta notifications, and ID verification.

The sophisticated, easy to use app allows you to keep the “in the moment” experiences synonymous with drinking says CEO, Ryan Browne. “Whether you are winding down with a craft beer, pairing wine with a home cooked dish, or pre-gaming with friends before a night on the town, TopShelf has you covered. We help customers stay in the moment, responsibly.”

How responsibly? Before even accessing the full functionality of the app, the user must confirm that they are over 21. When the order arrives, the TABC certified liquor store employee must authenticate and validate IDs before completing the delivery. If the person ordering the alcohol is not of legal drinking age, the driver refuses the delivery and the user is charged a $20 restocking fee.

In compliance with state regulations, TopShelf does not deliver the alcohol or handle any money in the transaction. TopShelf is the technology and marketing platform between users, liquor stores, and liquor brands.

TopShelf is now delivering to zip codes 77002, 77003, 77004, 77006, 77007 77019, 77098, 77046, and 77027. You can download the app here.
