Let’s get right into it – the Tasting Room in Uptown Park gets a huge round of applause for their new Oyster Bar! First, it’s located in a great spot in the restaurant, smack dab in the middle of all the action (for those that are familiar with the location it used to be the pizza bar). On to the WHOO HOO moment – the oyster bar has it’s own bar area where you can order cocktails, wine or champagne! Many will not understand why this is not only a whoo-hoo moment but a “wait what” moment. The Tasting Room at this location only served wine and having a cocktail program is brand new, so this along with the oyster bar is a huge deal. Now that you have the deets about the spot let’s talk about the oysters…
If you like oysters, this will be your new happy place because you can get them three ways! Additionally, Executive Chef Jonald brings in oysters from all over (including the Gulf) to keep things interesting, along with excellent daily specials.

And let’s not forget them on a half-shell and raw! Their raw oysters are fresh daily, and they change up the selection often. I enjoyed the Gulf, Blue Yonder, Wellfleet, Deep Cove, and Goosebury (see cover picture) oysters.
