During the month of April 2017, National Child Abuse Prevention Month, some of Houston’s top restaurants will offer a “Blue Plate Special” to their guests with proceeds benefiting The Thread Alliance’s mission to end child abuse. The Thread Alliance is a non-profit organization founded by Sheila Aron whose mission is to bring child abuse awareness to the forefront and provide a central registry of local, state, and national resources for those seeking child abuse prevention, intervention, or treatment information and services.

Now in its 5th year, this annual month-long citywide public awareness and education campaign is encouraging Houstonians to take a stand against child abuse and toward healing. Local restaurants will support the cause by offering specials and donating a percentage or flat dollar amount of the proceeds to The Thread Alliance. The following restaurants are participating in The Thread Alliance’s 5th Annual Blue Plate Special:
