As part of a hometown expansion that will more than double its Houston store count over the next six months, Snap Kitchen has just debuted its first downtown presence in One Allen Center.  Located at 500 Dallas Street, the prime tunnel site is focused on grab and go service with seating provided in the adjacent food court.  The crisp and contemporary, 400-square-foot micro-store, which is approximately a third of the size of traditional Snap Kitchen footprints, will also serve as a prototype for future real estate opportunities where space is at a premium.

Based on feedback from existing customers already living and working in and around downtown, Snap Kitchen had been shopping an appropriate location for some time before landing on the central Allen Center spot.  While benefitting from traffic density within the office complex and from adjacent buildings, the company believes demand will also grow as new multi-family products introduce additional savvy and convenience-focused consumers to the neighborhood.

According to Stephanie Hoban, the company’s Houston Registered Dietitian, “We’re excited to bring downtown a new dining option with food that’s fast, but also fresh, healthy, balanced and designed to increase energy throughout the day – as opposed to leading to a mid-afternoon slump.  The location will also allow us to grow our corporate wellness program given the concentration of nearby businesses.”

Snap Kitchen is dedicated to bringing customers flavorful, handcrafted food that supports a commitment to local, organic ingredients and healthy cooking.  Guests can find comfort in knowing that they can pick up a delicious, freshly made dish, diet friendly dessert or snack without the post-meal guilt that often comes with dining out.  An expansive, seasonally updated menu caters to vegan, gluten-free, paleo, vegetarian, sugar-free and active lifestyles,  Dietitian approved selections include offerings like Texas Grassfed Beef Hash, Ginger Chicken Stir Fry, Turkey Chili and Raw Coconut Macaroons.  Cold Pressed Juices, specialty elixirs and a variety of salads are also available.

The One Allen Center location is open Monday through Friday from 7 am until 4 pm.  Contact the store by phone 713.659.6700 or email houstoninfo@snapkitchen.com.  Additional Houston sites are located in Upper Kirby near River Oaks and Rice Military near Memorial Park.  For further information about Snap Kitchen, please visit snapkitchen.com, follow our blog snapkitchen.wordpress.com, like us on Facebook facebook.com/snapkitchen or follow us on twitter @snapkitchen.
