Owner/Co-Executive Chef Tatsu Aikawa and Partner/Co-Executive Chef Takuya “Tako” Matsumoto of Ramen Tatsu-Ya announce the expansion of their acclaimed restaurant with a third location in Houston.
With two existing locations in Austin, Ramen Tatsu-Ya, crafting the “soul food of Japan,” is slated to open its Houston location this winter at 1722 California Street. The space will be a collaboration with McCray & Co., the design studio responsible for both Ramen Tatsu-Ya restaurants and many others.
With a focus on authentic Japanese ramen, the menu will offer favorites like the Tonkotsu Original with pork bone both, chashu, ajitama, wood ear mushrooms, and scallions and the Veggie Ramen with soy and mushroom broth, tofu, brussels sprouts, corn, menma, wood ear mushrooms and greens, along with small bites like the Munchie Katsu Slider, side items and sweets.
