Pamper your palette and quench your thirst at Houston ‘s Wine & Food Week, the region’s largest and most comprehensive wine and food celebration between New Orleans and Aspen.  Scheduled for June 1-7, 2015 and themed “The Design of Wine,” Wine & Week’s iconic celebration is certain to draw culinary masters and wine experts from around the world.  

An epicurean extravaganza with more than 10,000 participants each year, Wine & Food Week’s gastronomic grandeur features scores of events with more than 500 wines, 50 restaurants, legendary wine producers and culinary personalities.  A myriad of education classes, chef demonstrations, cookbook author events, and casual to fine wine-and-dine experiences for the novice to the enthusiast round out the weeklong culinary classic. 

“We are honored to host the wine and food industry’s best and brightest,” said Constance McDerby, co-founder of Wine & Food Week and principal of Food & Vine Time Productions.   “For 11 years we have created an experience that brings wine and food enthusiasts face-to-face with true culinary masters.  This year is no exception as we strive to spread the love of food and wine for all to enjoy.” 

Wine & Food Week’s signature events include Thursday, June 4th’s H-E-B Wine Walk @ Market Street, a taste and stroll experience in a European-style center featuring wine and light bites at more than 40 tasting stations; Sips, Suds & Tacos, presented by The Woodlands Mall, a Texas-size celebration featuring live music, specialty beers, value wines and a gourmet “Taco Takedown”competition on Friday, June 5;  and Saturday, June 6’s ultimate adult evening:  The Wine Rendezvous Grand Tasting & Chef Showcase, presented by Capital One Bank, where guests sample delectable cuisine and hundreds of wines as chefs representing more than 50 restaurants compete for Wine & Food Week’s Waterford Crystal Chef of Chefs Award and a $5,000 cash prize. To complete the evening, the epicurean experience culminates with the “Just Desserts” contest, a confectionary competition to crown the night’s dessert extraordinaire.
