This summer, when Chef Soren Pedersen parted ways with farm-to-table restaurant, Sorrel Urban Bistro, we knew he wouldn’t stay away for long. Leaving to focus on his local television show, Currant Kitchen, Chef Pedersen’s goal was to bring a similar concept to his audience. Since his departure, you may have also spotted Chef Pedersen on Saturday morning’s at the Urban Harvest Farmers Market, showcasing his creative seasonal recipes.
Well, we have some great news for you! For those who miss the innovative dishes and “well thought out” flavor pairings, your wait will soon be over. In the March/April 2014 timeframe, Chef Soren Pedersen and wife Maria, will be opening a new restaurant in the Montrose area. Housed in a location inspired by French architecture, it is truly a sight to see and will align perfectly with Chef Pedersen’s style of cooking.
The restaurant will offer a prix fixe 3-course meal that will “blend my Nordic heritage”, says Chef Pedersen. Expect what we have all grown to love about Chef Pedersen and his cuisine. It will be sourced and prepared from locally grown and farm-raised products, it will always be fresh, and consistently pleasing to the palate.
As the grand opening draws near, we will bring you more on this exciting development!
Congrats chef and we will attempt to patiently await your return.
