One of Houston’s very own, the Brazos Bottom Pecan Pie, has been a holiday favorite for us and many others outside of our great city for many decades. And even though Goode Company has a few restaurants under their belt, like Goode Co. BBQ, the one thing they have become known for is this pie. Making a debut in 1977, it has even appeared in Oprah’s “O Magazine”, just in case you needed someone aside from us to “vouch” for this decadent treat. It’s the real deal.

Prepared in the traditional style, this 9-inch pie is handmade and filled from crust to brim with whole Texas pecans (which by the way are still cracked by hand). It is super rich, gooey, savory, and sweet – all the things we love about a pecan pie. The crust is just as one would expect; flaky, buttery and just enough to allow the filling to shine.

If you can’t pick up a pie in person, have no fear. They deliver and it comes fresh to your door and is never frozen. It even looks great in its commemorative gift box. A bonus? The pie can be stored for up to three weeks at room temperature so there is no rush to devour the pie in a few days; although it truthfully won’t last any longer that that.
