The 12th Annual Sugar Land Wine & Food Affair, set for April 8-‐12, has announced regional and national culinary participation from notable chefs including former White House Chef John Moeller, Maine-‐based Chefs Shanna and Brian O’Hea, Jose Duarte of Taranta in Boston, Jeffery Balfour, Rob Snow, Mark DeNittis, Jason Nauert, Kevin Williamson, and Carlos Crusco. Attracting more than 10,000 wine and food lovers from Texas – as well as supporters from across the country – this year’s event will include participation by renowned local, regional, national and international chefs.
Located in historic Sugar Land just minutes from Houston proper, its dinners, tastings and demos and have gained a well-‐deserved reputation for a rollicking good time where chefs share secrets, sommeliers get un-‐ corked and attendees have exclusive access to incredible food, wine, spirits and beer.
The Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce produces the event in cooperation with the University of Houston’s Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management. All proceeds benefit a permanent scholarship endowment for Houston’s finest hospitality students.

It’s become a ‘must-‐do’ in the culinary world – allowing chefs and attendees to see what this city has to offer.”
Events take place at Sugar Land sites that include Sugar Land’s Town Square, Sugar Land Marriott Town Square and the grounds of the former Imperial Sugar Factory and historic Char House and Riverstone Club.
The five-‐day wine and food affair kicks off with a VIP dinner, followed by four days of events and tastings. Over 2,600 bottles of wine will be poured tasted and paired at the five-‐day fun-‐filled event, including educational seminars, specialty cocktail and beer tastings, bidding auctions, among other exciting events.

“La Dolce Vita” VIP Kick-‐Off Dinner – April 8, 6 – 9:30 p.m.
Sugar Land Marriott Town Square Kicking off the 12th annual Sugar Land Wine & Food Affair, this seated VIP dinner at the Sugar Land Marriott Town Square will be hosted by the world renowned Official Ambassador of Castello Banfi and Vinge Regali, Luciano Castello. “La Dolce Vida” will transport you back to Italy with its exquisite, traditional Italian decor. Immerse your pallet with elegant Banfi wines as we take you on this journey through a five-‐course luxury dinner, prepared by Houston’s top chefs from Arcodoro, Coppa Osteria, Quattro at The Four Seasons Hotel, Radio Milano at Hotel Sorella and Ristorante Cavour at Hotel Granduca.
On the Rocks Bartenders Challenge featuring New Amsterdam Vodka – April 9, 6:30 – 9:00 p.m.
Riverstone Club Delight in a number of specially crafted New Amsterdam Vodka cocktails prepared by five of Houston’s most skilled mixologists as they compete for a grand prize of $1000! After the last tipple has been sipped, one recipe will be named the official cocktail of the 12th Annual Sugar Land Wine & Food Affair and will be served at the Grand Tasting, Sip & Stroll and Bistro Brunch.
Wine and Whiskey Seminars – April 10, 5:30 – 6:30 p.m.
Sugar Land Marriott Town Square Learn from experts representing many of the world’s top brands. These separate lively, interactive sessions provide new insight into what makes your drink of choice so special.
The Grand Tasting – April 10, 7:00 – 9:30 p.m.
Sugar Land Marriott Town Square Held in the elegant ballroom of the Sugar Land Marriott Town Square, this exquisite evening tasting event is not to be missed. Guests will delight in mouthwatering creations from top culinary superstars, perfectly paired with the most delectable wines and spirits. Meanwhile, the Grand Auction, benefiting the Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel & Restaurant Management, will offer guests the chance to bid on exclusive items as they indulge.
Sip and Stroll at Imperial – April 11, 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.
Imperial Sugar Land Sip on the beverage of your choice, sample savory selections from popular restaurants, peruse the offerings of fine artisans and enjoy live music as you stroll across the historic grounds of the Imperial Sugar Factory. Ale aficionados won’t want to miss the expanded beer garden, featuring more than 100 beers from 25 different breweries. Cheers to that!
Bistro Brunch – April 12, 11:00 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Sugar Land Town Square Bloody Marys, mimosas, wine, beer and much more await attendees at the Bistro Brunch. Indulge in delicious foods from around the world as you enjoy live music and cultural performances. This is gourmet on a global scale!
Tickets are priced from $40 -‐ $150. A three-‐day VIP Grand Pass with access to The Grand Tasting, Sip & Stroll and Bistro Brunch is specially priced at $225. Special hotel packages are available at the official sponsor hotel, the Sugar Land Marriott Town Square.
