Dessert Gallery has been a staple in the Houston dessert community for over 20 years. Serving up endless options in the “treats” category, owner Sara Brook knows a thing or two (or three) about satisfying your sweet tooth. So it’s no surprise that she is still reinventing a few desserts along with renovating the Dessert Gallery location at 3600 Kirby.

Along with the new look came a new logo and a new bright and more inviting space where purples and teal take a front seat. The various seating areas are super swanky and will provide a place and a space where one can stay just a tad bit longer than previously. When you visit, make sure you try what Sara calls the best cake she has ever made, the 20th Anniversary Cake, that is simply delectable, delicious, and a chocolate lovers dream.

And to go right along with the “new” theme, Dessert Gallery is also introducing a new line of desserts. Every month starting in May, the Dessert of the Month will be created from recipes that incorporate beer…yes, beer! Local craft breweries including 8th Wonder Brewery, Buffalo Bayou Brewing Company, Karbach Brewing Company and St. Arnold’s Brewing Company will get their chance to be featured in a sweet way. I sampled the “Yule Shoot Your Eye Out Bread Pudding,” that is filled with spiked raisins (using Karbach beer) and I was immediately excited about the rest of the year.
