Chef and owner Kevin Naderi will celebrate the 5th anniversary of his neighborhood restaurant, Roost, throughout the month of December. Naderi invites diners to celebrate with him as he brings back all-time favorites from over the years. He has also selected three charity organizations to partner with, in an effort to give back to the community that has supported him since his restaurant’s opening.
Known for his creative menu, which changes every three to five weeks, Naderi has developed a number of dishes over the past five years patrons beg him to bring back. While Roost’s favorites like the fried cauliflower with miso dressing and coffee and donut holes have earned permanent places on the menu, Naderi will bring back some all-time favorites from throughout Roost’s 5-year history. Diners can expect to see crab cake niçoise with French bean salad, salt cod fritters with saffron aioli, sweet potato and quinoa stuffed poblano with mole braised greens, chicken n’ dumplings with French gnocchi and herb gravy, and spiced apple empanadas with lavender icing and apple cider sorbet. Check out the all time favorites menu here.
The charitable portion of this celebration will take place through Wednesday, Dec. 21st. Roost will offer a three-course prix fixe menu for $50, with $10 from each menu sold benefitting the featured charity that week. “This is a celebration, not only for myself and my restaurant, but also for the community that supports the culinary innovation of our city”, Naderi, said. “I’m excited to involve these worthy charities and invite our loyal customers to help give back during such a crucial time for them.” Check out the prix fixe menu here. The schedule is as follows:
December 8-14: The Beacon
December 15-21: Houston Youth Symphony
