Although large face watches have been my “go to” for many years, I have found my eyes wandering to the more feminine watches here lately. Maybe it’s the change in my preference of wardrobe, or the fact that I am getting older, but I am really digging the trendy yet classy look.

Ancher Striped Steel Mesh Watch

The last watch I purchased was from a brand called Skagen. Boasting a function meets fashion contemporary Danish design, there watches take a minimalistic approach. The brand is said to celebrate the enchanted seaside village of Skagen in Denmark by creating designs that not only focus on quality but that have a purpose. Think steel mesh or felt bands and rose gold or blue dials. Their watches stood out to me for that very reason and is why I wear my Skagen all the time. Skagen also offers jewelry, accessories, and bags.

Asta Steel Mesh Watch

I also fell for their watches because of the fit. They are flat, slim and feel comfortably snug around your wrist. They are also very light (you almost forget you are wearing a timepiece), and they give you exactly what you need to keep track of time. Nothing more, nothing less.
