Who knew that slip-on sneakers would become a thing? I’ve been wearing them for years – mostly because I’m drawn to purchase items of convenience – but they also go with just about anything. Long gone are the days when Keds or Vans were the only affordable way to rock a fresh pair of slip-ons. Now other brands (high-end ones too) are getting their piece of the pie and I am all for it! For example, fashion brand Opening Ceremony has teamed up with Vans to create capsule collections.

I have my fair share of slip-on sneakers and I see no end to my love for their simple and sleek style. And as others are beginning to discover their newfound love, I felt it was a great time to share some of my favorites from my very own collection. Slip-on sneakers are a great classic item that can be dressed up or dressed down, paired with jeans, a mini dress, wide-leg pants, or even a long skirt.

I wear a lot of black but I equally enjoy a bit of color pop. The Donald Pliner Selene Slip-On Sneakers are the best of both worlds. I love the quilted and beaded vamp details. It’s a simple sneaker with a bit of pizzazz yet casual enough for everyday. And here they are in all black.

I have Via Spiga Reene Slide Sneakers in both black and blue and I wear them out! LOL. They are perforated suede (so you feet can breathe) and the back is out. It gives your outfit a completely different feel and looks best with leggings and skirts. Suede sneakers are always a good idea so here is a suede pair with a full back and another fly option with a criss-cross elastic strap.

I didn’t know if I was going to really LOVE these until I tried them on and begin to strut on my own runway! The Sam Edelman Marvin Paisley Slip-On Sneakers are an exact presentation of what is hot right now. They are vibrant, colorful, and come with a 1″ platform rubber sole. It they could sing, you would always be dancing. And if you’re going for the wow factor, then you’ll love this pair of Sam Edlemen Jacquard slip-ons that rock Faux Fur Pom-Poms. Dopeness!

Report Slip-On Sneakers

I’ve had my Report Slip-On Sneakers the longest and these babies have been through it all. They have climbed up Ancient Mayan Ruins in Belize, been on just about every weekend getaway, and are certainly my go-to shoes for everyday. I’m also diggin’ the Report Abena Perforated Slip-On Sneaker. They have an all-over perforation and a whipstitch trim.

Michael Kors Suede Slip-on Sneakers

It’s no secret that I love anything Michael Kors designs. And that love extends to his shoes! I don’t believe the Michael Kors Suede Slip-on Sneakers I have are still available, but the MICHAEL Michael Kors Willa Slip-On SneakersMICHAEL Michael Kors Women’s Keaton Leather Perforated Slip-On Sneakers, and the Michael Kors Keaton Silver Metallic Embossed Snake Leather Slip On Sneakers w/Jewels are a few that I would recommend.

Don’t take my word for it. Sneakers have pretty much replaced high heels and if you followed the street style images from Fashion Month you had to notice more Adidas Stan Smiths than stilettos. You don’t have to be a sneakerhead to love these, but they are a must-have for any closet. With slip-ons, you don’t have to take the time to lace them up — just slip ’em on and you’re on your way. I practically live in my slip-ons and you probably will too!
