A few weeks back George Kotsiopoulos, star of Fashion Police, came to town to make sure we were Fall ready and not in violation of any fashion laws! Well this is not quite the whole truth, but it goes so nicely with George and the whole Fashion Police thing. Here’s the real deal… as a spokesperson for Gap Factory Stores he is on a nationwide tour, "Exclusively Styled", educating consumers on what's hot for Fall and some must-have items from Gap Factory stores. During his stop in Houston at the Premium Outlets he also took some time before his show to do a meet and greet with some of us local fashion bloggers. We got to all ask him one question and the answers along with his facial expressions were priceless. Check out George giving us face HUNNA as only he can and a few of our questions:
Q. How would you describe your own personal style?
A. I have many different styles. Like my style on the show is one thing and I guess my every day would be more preppy-grudgy. This Summer on the show I’ve been wearing really crazy clothes like head to toe prints, which I would normally say don’t do! But I just figured it's Summer and I don’t care.
Q. Celebrities you would like to dress?
A. Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe, I love movie stars. I mean Rihanna and Emma Stone would be fun because they are girls that just get it.
Q.What are your thoughts on Fast Fashion (McFashion)?
A. I like it and when I worked in fashion over 20 years ago it just did not exist. Then after Sex In The City everybody was all fashion, fashion, fashion! So places like H&M and Zara have made fashion available at every price point and I think it’s great.
After our meet and greet, it was time for the show. During the fashion show that was commentated by Houston's own Ashley Dunn (stylist) and styled by Kotsiopoulos himself, we got to see some great looks for the upcoming season (and Kotsiopoulos' genius unfold right before our eyes). It was all about denim, jumpers, neutrals and lots of fun. There were several looks that I was checking out for myself, and since I was the Grand Prize winner of the gift card ($250) giveaway I could have them all. However, I was torn and wanted to get George's opinion; yes we are on first name bases (wink, wink). Click the video below and see what advice he had for me.
