My last 2 weeks have been crazy busy and I hate that I missed bringing you any fashion news from NYFW. Thank goodness that this is the fashion month Trifecta that started in New York, then headed to London, and will end in Milan on Sunday. So I joined this party in London, and Swankers let me just say, “Fall 2014 is lookin’ fierce!”
London, to me, is New York’s edgier kick-ass sister – which translates to they both are pretty stellar. You know kind of like an Almond Joy and Mounds candy bar; both are good, but sometimes you feel like a nut and sometimes you don’t! Check out some of my favorite collections from London Fashion Week:
Barbara Casasola: This collection shows that this is a designer that can tailor her booty off! It is very refreshing to see her make a pair of pants look this fabulous; and how much do we love this color palette of greys, blacks and purples?!?!
Peter Pilotto: Love, love, love this collection! It showcased lots of matchy-matchy combinations, strong embellishments, bold geometric graphics and confident silhouettes that have become their calling card.
Tom Ford: This is my guy! He knows how to create a sexy pantsuit or a dress that will have all the eyes in the room on you. For London Fashion Week he had lots of fun with rapper Jay Z’s song Tom Ford, which has a lyric, “I DON‘T pop molly, I rock Tom Ford”, by creating a dress in honor of the songs reference to him and of course molly.
