Having good healthy skin is a huge deal to me, and I kind of want everyone around me to care about it as much as I do. Since I can’t make everyone around me just follow my instructions for life (a girl can wish tho) or skin, I must lead by example. Short of some hyper-pigmentation, ya girl has pretty good skin, and I’m always looking for great skincare products.

Recently I had a makeup play date with one of my beauty junkie girlfriends. After we had finished applying makeup for what seemed like 10 hours, it was time to remove all of it from our faces. I noticed that even though she has a ton of skincare products, she always uses the same cleanser with her Clarisonic, and that is Indie Lee Brightening Cleanser. After watching her use it for years and listening to her explain why she loves it, I was sold and on my way to grab a bottle for myself.

Claims & Hype About the Product

Upon doing a little more research on the product, folks all seem to like it. One of the reasons is that it’s jam-packed full of healthy ingredients, like strawberry oil, lycopene, and hydrolyzed wheat protein. All of which make it ideal for hydrating, cleaning, and brightening the skin without all the harsh stuff. The formula is so gentle that you could use the cleanser to remove your eye makeup. Lastly, it works well when paired with a cleansing brush.

Thoughts…Mad or Nah

I must admit that I’m MAD about this one! Don’t get me wrong all the claims and hype about the product are true. The problem for me is many other cleansers do the exact same thing. There was nothing special about the product. It didn’t make my skin feel softer or give me this out of this world glow. For me I wanted it to be and do more. I will finish the bottle, but will not repurchase it. One thing that did stand out is how well it worked with my Clarisonic cleansing brush, and this alone could be reason enough for some of you to want it and love it!

  • It smells amazing due to the strawberry oil (the strawberry oil also hydrates)
  • Works nicely with a Clarisonic Cleansing Brush
  • Loaded with healthy ingredients
  • Not harsh on skin making it ideal for people with sensitive skin

  • It’s not a product that is going to wow you
  • Pricey
  • Difficult to travel with because the bottle is glass

Until soon…Toodles
