I’ve often said Fall is one of my favorite seasons. It is the time where temperatures drop and visually things around us start to change. It is also the time when makeup companies start to bring in fall/winter products and their holiday offerings are launched. We all know I have a love for all things makeup and with that, I’ve purchased a lot in the last few months. One of the categories that I’ve been most impressed with and couldn’t wait to share my faves is the eyeshadow palettes! Since September there have been more than 40 new ones released with a few more major launches still to come before the year ends.

When picking my palettes to share I wanted to showcase something for everyone because we all wanna rock out our holiday looks and bust into 2018 like “WE READY”!

Matte of My Dreams

Too Faced Just Peachy Mattes

After the epic fail that was the Peanut Butter & Honey palette last year, I’ve been chilling on Too Faced Cosmetics eyeshadows for a while! I didn’t exactly break up with them, I just needed to see other people and figure out what and where to take our relationship. Well, I’m happy to report that with the release of the Just Peachy Mattes Palette we are back together!

I mean have you seen this palette? It is easily one of the top palettes of the year, just click around the web and you’ll see. It has twelve warm tone mattes in brown and peach shades. The color payoff and pigmentation are out of this world fabulous, without lots of fallout and kickback. These shadows are infused with exclusive comfort matte technology for better blendability. This is a great everyday palette if you like mattes and it also looks lovely on many different skin tones.

Purple Reign

Natasha Denona Lila Palette

What makes Natasha Denona palettes so amazing? If you said it’s the pigments and her signature formulas, I’d agree. If you said the fabulous colors and textures I’d also agree. Her palettes are among my favorites and this new Lila Palette is no exception! This color combination of warm and cool violets, plums, and fuchsias is trending right now, and Natasha puts it together the best with her well-curated shade selection and different formulas that provides great texture.

All four of the classic formulas/textures are represented – from her signature chroma crystal, creamy matte, metallic, and innovative duo chrome finishes. Additionally, this palette boasts fifteen new velvety and easily blendable shades. If you are a makeup collector this is a must-have, or anyone that enjoys purple and pink eyeshadows!

All Hail The Queen

Pat McGrath Mothership I

When the top Makeup Artist, Pat McGrath, in the world creates a permanent makeup collection with three gorgeous eyeshadow palettes, YOU get a palette! Now that we are clear about the rules let’s get into it…

The Mothership Palettes from Auntie Pat are all about the drama! If you aren’t ready for that then this is not a palette for you. All three are vibrant and bold with a side of bad-ass chick that will have you strutting into 2018 like nobody’s business.

From the packaging to the shades in the palette, everything is on point.  I was torn and wanted all three palettes, but at $125 each I knew that I couldn’t or shouldn’t get crazy and went with Mothership I: Subliminal.  This ten color palette has reds, browns, and a bold black and some crazy cool duo-chrome and metallics, which are what Pat McGrath calls her ideal neutrals. These shadows act very much like straight pigments, especially the duo-chrome. Get ready to wet those brushes to kick things up a few notches!

Holiday Swag

Anastasia Of Beverly Hills Prism

Just off the heels of their Subculture Palette (which I love as well) and just in time for all the holiday glam Anastasia Of Beverly Hill dropped their Limited Edition Prism Palette! When you hear prism and holiday glam you should think sparkle, glitzy, shimmer, and bold because that’s what this palette is serving up. The things that make this palette a win for me is that the shades are unique with a good mix of matte, duo-chrome, and metallic finishes. You could create countless looks from this one palette which is always a good thing.

I know many are waiting for me to address the obvious since I did mention their most controversial palette to date above (Subculture if you aren’t up on makeup drama)…this palette does not have a lot of fallout, and that applies even if you are a brush twirler! I found that the colors blended well and the pigmentation was great.

Neutral Girls

PUR Soirée Diaries

Pur Cosmetics has really stepped up their game in the last 18 months and I’m here for it! I already loved the fact they were vegan and cruelty-free, but the last couple of eyeshadows palette get two thumbs up! The one that I am loving and keep reaching for is the Soiree Diaries. This palette gives you twelve neutral shades in creams and browns. You can create your own custom looks or follow the 4 vertical rows for pre-created looks. They give you three shades per row – one that highlights, then one for definition, and then complete the look with one for drama.

DrugStore Love

Maybelline The City Mini Palette x Shayla

This drugstore palette had me wishing all drugstore and budget-conscious eyeshadows rocked this hard! In all honesty, I shouldn’t be shocked since it’s a collaboration between Maybelline and Shayla Mitchell, aka…YouTube beauty guru Makeup By Shayla. This new The City Mini Palette x Shayla also has a new formula and new colors, and yes we can thank Shayla for that! Hence, giving the shadows nice color payoff and bold vibrant colors. This palette is meant to take you from a day to evening look.

The thing I love about this palette is it’s great for novice and makeup professionals. It features six shades that can be customized or used by following the guide on the bottom of the palette which gives you numbers on where the base color, two crease colors, two lid colors and the liner color are to be placed on the eye.

Now that I’ve given you a few of my favorites eyeshadow palettes for the seasons tell me what you think! Have you tried any of these palettes? What are your favorite palettes right now?

Until soon…Toodles
